NO TOBACCO DAY Patient awareness skit

On 31/05/2025 World "No Tobacco Day" was celebrated by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. To commemorate this day, interns presented a compelling skit highlighting the perils of tobacco consumption and its harmful effects on the human body. The performance aimed to raise awareness about the severe health risks associated with tobacco use, including respiratory diseases, cardiovascular complication and oral cancer. Through impactful dialogue and visual representation, the skit emphasized the addictive nature of nicotine, the consequences of passive & active smoking and the urgent need to adopt a tobacco-free lifestyle. Objective of the activity was to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use on health and overall well-being and to encourage people to quit tobacco and support them in doing so. The initiative effectively conveyed a strong anti-tobacco message and encouraged viewers to make informed, healthy choices.
