World Health Day
On 7 th July 2024, the occasion of “World Health Day”, an activity for making informative placards on the topic “MY HEALTH, MY RIGHT” was organized for interns posted in the department of Public Health Dentistry. The placards covered general and oral health care related information, Tobacco and alcohol addictive habits and possible complications of oral cancer.These placards were used to educate and create awareness on the importance of oral health and the ill-effects of tobacco and alcohol among slum dwellers. An oral health check- up camp was organised in which dental screening for the residents of slum area was conducted. The people attending the camp were informed about their dental health and those in need of treatment, were encouraged to get their treatment done from the college.
