Oral Health Screening and awareness campaign at Central Jail

On the occasion of “World Health Day”, on 07/04/2025 an Oral Health Screening and awareness campaign was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, MGV’S KBH Dental College and Hospital, Nashik in coordination with the Charity Commissioner office (Dharmday Seva Samiti ), Nashik in Central Jail, Nashik. The inmates were educated regarding the importance of oral health and methods of oral hygiene maintenance. The chief complaints of the jail inmates were addressed and provided them with medications where necessary.Tobacco Counselling was done for the patients with Tobacco, Gutkha and paan chewing habits.

Outcome of the activity- Health Talk was delivered to motivate them to improve and maintain good oral hygiene. The camp successfully screened around 152 jail inmates.
